Kaoru is a Nissei (2nd generation Japanese American) and the fourth child of five children. He was born in Torrance but moved to Chicago when he was 13 years old. He graduated from William Fremd High School in Illinois, and later attended Northern Illinois University where he was a U.S. History Major. He is bilingual in English and Japanese.
Prior to joining AHTKY in 2003, he worked in Chicago as a graphic designer for apparel and websites. His special areas of interest are in the Personal Lines area (auto, home, rental properties) as well as Commercial properties and Workers Compensation. His goal is to “build and maintain ongoing relationships with clients while gaining an understanding of the nature of their lives and businesses in order to negotiate and find insurance coverage that provides the best value possible.”
Kaoru still retains a keen interest in historical matters, however, learning how to use insurance to protect his friends, family and their financial future has given him a new purpose in life.
